Planning your wedding is exciting, emotional, and sometimes a little overwhelming—and choosing your photographer is one of the most important decisions you’ll make. My goal is to make that part simple, comfortable, and something you can actually enjoy from start to finish. Here is what it’s really like to work with me as your wedding photographer.
1. Before You Book: Getting to Know Each Other: When you first reach out, I want to hear about you—not just your wedding date. I’ll ask about your vision, your venue, and what matters most to you. Whether you’re planning a big celebration or something more intimate, this is where we make sure we’re a good fit. Once you decide to book, I’ll send over everything you need to officially reserve your date. From that point on, I’m in your corner.
2. Planning Together (You’re Not Doing This Alone): After booking, we start building your experience together. We’ll talk timeline, lighting, locations, and all the little details that help your wedding day run smoothly. I’ll guide you through things like:
When to schedule portraits for the best light,
How much time to allow for photos
Tips for a stress-free wedding timeline
My goal is to make sure you feel prepared—not overwhelmed.
3. Engagement Session (Optional but Recommended): If you choose to do an engagement session, this is where we really get comfortable working together. Think of it as a relaxed practice run before the wedding day. You’ll learn how I pose and direct, and I’ll learn how you naturally interact together. By the time your wedding arrives, it feels like we’ve already done this before. And don’t worry—I’ll guide you every step of the way so you never feel awkward in front of the camera.
4. Wedding Day: Calm, Present, and Intentional: On your wedding day, my job is simple: let you stay present while I take care of the rest. I’ll capture the big moments, the quiet in-between ones, and everything you didn’t even realize was happening. You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about what to do with your hands. I’ll gently guide you when needed, and step back when moments naturally unfold. My approach is a mix of storytelling and direction—so you always feel comfortable, never staged, and fully yourself.
5. After the Wedding: Reliving It All: After your wedding, I carefully go through every image to select and edit the best moments from your day. Your gallery will be delivered in a way that allows you to relive everything—from the big emotional moments to the small, meaningful details you may have missed. This is often my clients’ favorite part: seeing their day come to life all over again.
6. More Than Photos: At the end of the day, this isn’t just about taking pictures, it's about preserving a season of life that only happens once. The laughter, the tears, the nerves, the joy—all of it deserves to be remembered honestly and beautifully. If you’re looking for a wedding experience that feels calm, natural, and true to you, I’d love to be part of your day.
